Noida Metro: In the cabinet meeting held on Friday under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the expansion of Aqua Line of Metro Rail Service between Noida-Greater Noida has been approved.

This decision has been taken to ease the traffic from Noida Sector 51 Metro Station to Knowledge Park-20 of Greater Noida. The total cost of this project will be Rs 2991.60 crore. Apart from this, the Yogi Cabinet has also approved the proposal to provide seed capital for the expansion of 9 urban development authorities of the state.

Noida Metro: Metro line will be 17.435 km long, Centre and State Government will spend Rs 394 crore

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that to make traffic from Noida to Greater Noida more smooth, the cabinet has approved the proposal regarding the extension of the 17.435 km long Aqua Line Metro project from Sector 51 Noida Station to Knowledge Park 20 of Greater Noida. In this, Rs 394 crore will be spent by the Government of India and Rs 394 crore by the state government. 40 percent of the amount will be sanctioned by the state government through Noida and 60 percent of the amount will be sanctioned by Greater Noida Authority.

Noida Metro: Common people will get direct benefit

According to the UP government, Noida and Greater Noida authorities will bear the cost of the metro project in proportion to the length of their respective areas. According to the government, the project will lead to development of the area and will directly benefit the common people. Apart from this, direct/indirect employment opportunities will be available. Apart from the metro, the Yogi cabinet has also approved the allocation of funds for transmission line and substation in the 800 MW solar project in Chitrakoot.

Noida Metro: Extra neutral alcohol out of GST

Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that after the amendment in the Central Act, the Council of Ministers has decided to amend the GST in Uttar Pradesh as well. Under this, Extra Neutral Alcohol has been removed from GST and put in VAT. This will increase the revenue of UP. Till now, UP used to get 50 percent revenue from Extra Neutral Alcohol, whereas after this decision, 100 percent revenue benefit will be obtained. This will not bring any change in the prices of liquor in the state.
