I was trying to film WFH in a cute Wes Anderson style and I accidentally filmed myself talking about layoffs. The TikTok video begins with her getting out of bed in the morning, making herself coffee And brushing your teeth before going to work from home.

In the scene of the video, she opens her email and realizes that the email has been turned off. As soon as she reads the message that Amazon has terminated her employment.

Sharing the news of her layoff on LinkedIn, Jennifer said: Yesterday I was one of 9,000 employees affected by Amazon’s layoffs. I joined Amazon in 2015 as a college graduate employee, still unable to believe I was working for the best tech company out there. I started my career as a recruiting coordinator with 2 goals in mind — get promoted to L6 and become a manager.

Last year I achieved both the goals. I used to often joke with friends and family, now what?? Amazon announced a second round of layoffs in March, with 9,000 jobs to be lost.
In a memo to employees on March 20, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said it was a difficult decision taken for the long-term benefit of the company. These layoffs followed the removal of 18,000 employees a few months back.

In March, Amazon announced plans to lay off another 9,000 employees in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Switch, advertising and HR.

JC said in a memorandum that the company concluded the second phase of its operational plan (OP2) last week.
