You will not have to pay any fee to create a virtual Aadhaar ID. Virtual ID is a 16 digit number. This virtual ID can be used for authentication and e-KYC in place of Aadhaar number. The Aadhaar number of any Aadhaar cardholder cannot be traced through virtual ID. This virtual ID can be used for many purposes including opening a bank account, applying for government services, completing e-KYC process, downloading Aadhaar PVC card or e-Aadhaar, applying for passport and buying insurance policy.

How to create a virtual ID

• • First of all go to the official website of Unique Identification Authority of India.
  • Here select the language as per your convenience in Hindi or English.
  • Now click on Virtual ID (VID) Generator in Aadhaar Services at the bottom of the website.
  • Now enter Aadhar card number and captcha.
  • Now enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
  • Now you will see your virtual ID on the screen.
  • This virtual ID is also sent to the registered mobile number.
