The weather has had a widespread impact in Uttar Pradesh in recent days, affecting normal life. Due to incessant rains, holidays have been declared in schools in many districts.
In view of the heavy rain alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), orders have been given to keep schools and colleges from class 1 to 12 closed in various districts of the state on 19 September 2024 (Thursday).
For example, District School Inspector Vinay Kumar and District Basic Education Officer Laxmikant Pandey in Bulandshahr have announced a holiday in schools and colleges. Similarly, in Agra also, it has been decided to close all schools from nursery to class 12.

Due to this rain, the roads have been submerged and there have been traffic obstructions. People are confined to their homes and there is also a shortage of essential goods. The administration has appealed to the people to be cautious and not to go out except for essential work. In this time of difficulty, everyone needs to help each other.
Holiday announced after IMD’s prediction
Monsoon has hit Uttar Pradesh in recent days, due to which it is raining continuously in many districts. Flood-like situation has also arisen at some places. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a heavy rain alert for Thursday, September 19, due to which holidays have been announced in schools.
