Air India’s new offer: India’s leading global airline Air India has announced a 10% discount on fares for students traveling on its flights on domestic and international routes. Under the special offer, students will get up to 10% discount on base fares on all flights and will be allowed to carry 10 kg extra baggage.

Along with this, students will get a one-time free date change option when booking on Air India’s direct channels such as airindia.com and Air India mobile app. This discount for students is available when booking in economy, premium economy and business cabins.

“With these new student fare benefits, we are helping young travellers explore the world with ease, connect with diverse cultures and expand their perspectives. At Air India, we are dedicated to supporting students throughout their educational journey and ensuring that full-service flying is both accessible and rewarding,” Air India said in a statement on Wednesday.

Air India connects India to 42 countries of the world and 49 cities across the country. Students hailing from the US, Canada, UK, Australia and other countries will get more benefit from this discount. The airline is offering special benefits by waiving the convenience fee on bookings made through the mobile app.

How much benefit will the students get?

Students can save up to Rs 399 on domestic flights and Rs 999 on international flights. Apart from this, additional discounts are available on payment through UPI, Net Banking or Credit/Debit Cards from Air India’s banking partners on airindia.com or Air India App. With these offers, students can enjoy savings of up to 25%.

Golden opportunity to join ‘Maharaja Club’

In addition, the airline Air India now offers free inflight entertainment across its entire fleet, available via seat-back screens or Vista Stream. The airline has introduced a new wireless streaming service for personal devices. The airline is also introducing Wi-Fi connectivity on international flights, which is currently available on select routes.

Students can join Air India’s advanced loyalty program ‘Maharaja Club’. They can earn reward points on every trip. These points can be redeemed for complimentary tickets, upgrades and more. Who will get the benefit?

Students availing the special fare must be at least 12 years of age for domestic travel and between 12 and 30 years for international travel.
