Air India has announced to start non-stop services between Bengaluru and London Gatwick from August. The airline had issued a press release related to this.
With Bengaluru becoming the fifth Indian city to be connected to the UK’s second largest airport, Air India has announced that it will launch non-stop services between Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport and London Gatwick (LGW) from August 18 this year. The service will further strengthen Air India’s presence in the UK. It will strengthen the strong economic and cultural ties between India and the UK.
Air India said in the official press release that
Air India will operate 5 times weekly between Bengaluru and London Gatwick. Thus, its total number of flights from London Gatwick will increase to 17 times.

Air India will use Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on this route. It will have 18 flat beds in business class and 238 spacious seats in economy.
According to the press release, Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Air India said
We are delighted to offer our guests convenient, non-stop flights between Bengaluru and London Gatwick. This new route meets the growing demand for travel between these two important business and leisure destinations, and reinforces our commitment to expanding our global network.
Air India currently connects four other Indian cities Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa and Kochi to London Gatwick. The airline also flies 31 times weekly to Heathrow and 6 times weekly to Birmingham.
