Air India launches ZipAhead: If you are troubled by the long queues during check-in at the airport, then Air India today launched a new paid service ‘ZipAhead’ for its passengers.
This new service provides priority check-in and priority baggage handling to economy class passengers. This service is designed for those passengers who want to save time but are not normally eligible for priority services.
What are the benefits of the ‘ZipAhead’ service?
You can check-in at Air India’s premium economy check-in counter. You
can avail priority baggage handling service, so that your bags will be received first.
At which airports is this service available?
The ‘ZipAhead’ service is available for passengers flying from 6 major airports in India.
- Delhi
- Mumbai
- Hyderabad
- Chennai
- Bangalore
- Kolkata
How much will I have to pay?
- If booked 6 hours before flight: ₹499
- If booked within 6 hours before flight: ₹699
Passengers can book this service up to 75 minutes before the flight. This facility is available through Air India’s website, mobile app, airport ticketing office (ATO) and customer care center.
They will get the service for free!
Platinum and Gold members of Air India’s Maharaja Club loyalty programme can avail the ‘ZipAhead’ service at no additional cost, irrespective of the class or fare type they are travelling in.
