An analysis by travel portal Exigo has revealed that spot fares on some routes have increased by 39 per cent during the period of April 1-7 compared to the period of March 1-7. . During this period, the one-way fare for Delhi-Bengaluru flights has increased by 39 percent, while the fare for Delhi-Srinagar flights has increased by 30 percent. According to the report, in case of Delhi-Mumbai flights, the fare increase has been seen by 12 percent and for Mumbai-Delhi flight by 8 percent.

Bharat Malik, senior vice president (air and hotel business), travel portal Yatra Online, said the average average airfare is expected to increase by 20-25 per cent in the current summer schedule, covering both domestic and international routes.
