EPFO has removed Aadhaar from the list of documents to be used as proof of date of birth. EPFO is part of the Ministry of Labor and Employment of India. However, EPFO has also given reasons for excluding Aadhaar. EPFO said that these other documents are used instead of Aadhaar.

UIDAI gave this reason for not using Aadhaar for DOB proof

Due to its specialty, Aadhaar is recognized as a proof of identity and proof of address for the Aadhaar holder. In a way, this is a big proof for ID and address. However, it cannot be used as date of birth (DoB) proof. Aadhaar is a 12-digit personal identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India on behalf of the Government of India. This number serves as proof of identity and address, anywhere in India.
