Update Aadhaar Online: The Central Government has extended the deadline for free updating of Aadhaar card. Now you will be able to update Aadhar card till 14th June. Currently its last date was 14th March.

UIDAI has informed about this decision through social media post. This free service will be available only on myAadhaar portal. Crores of people will benefit from this. UIDAI wants to give full opportunity to people to update their documents.

If Aadhaar was issued 10 years ago then update it.

Aadhaar is a 12 digit unique ID number. It contains information about biometric and demographic identity of Indians. Due to this, no person can create a false identity. The biometric information of any citizen cannot match that of another, hence Aadhaar is a very important identity card.

With its help, the problem of fake identity has been eliminated from the country. If your Aadhaar was issued 10 years ago or earlier then UIDAI is asking for your identity card and address proof. With this, people’s correct information can be updated again. With this the level of services can be further improved.

Update Aadhaar online in this way

  • First of all you have to go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ website. After this you will have to log in with the help of your Aadhaar number and OTP.
  • After this, information related to identity and address will start appearing on your profile.
  • If your details are correct then click on Verify. If the information is not correct, select to upload a new identity card. Then upload it.
  • Similarly, you will have to select the document as address proof. Upload it after submitting it.

Aadhaar will be updated offline in this way

  • First of all you have to go to https://bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in/aadhaar/ .
  • From here you will be able to find your nearest Aadhaar center.
  • After entering your location, you will get information about the nearest Aadhaar center.
  • You will also be able to collect information about the nearest Aadhaar center through PIN code.
  • By searching after entering the PIN code, you will get information about the Aadhaar center, where Aadhaar can be updated.
