Aadhaar Making Rules Change: Before making a new Aadhaar card, now the state government will check the documents related to it. Aadhaar card will be made only after the verification of the documents. It will be verified through the State Government Portal.

The state government portal is being prepared by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). A maximum time limit of one and a half months has been fixed for the verification of documents. In the interest of national security, this new arrangement is being made to prevent any kind of fraud in the new Aadhaar registration on the instructions of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Central Government.

Dr. N. Saravan Kumar, Secretary, Rural Development Department, Government of Bihar, has issued detailed guidelines in this regard to all the District Magistrates. He has said that the process of verification should be completed within the prescribed time limit. Nodal officers have also been appointed for the successful implementation of the portal. In this, the responsibility of verification has been entrusted to the nominated officer from the Rural Development Department at the state level, DDC at the district level, subdivision officer at the sub-division level and revenue officer at the block level. Dr. N Saravan Kumar informed that UIDAI has been requested to arrange online training on 20th July.

No change in application process

Arvind Mandal, Joint Secretary, Rural Development Department said that no change has been made in the process of making a new Aadhaar card. This process will remain the same. New applications received in UIDAI will come to the State Government Portal and from there the documents of the applicants will be made available to the DDC, SDO and Revenue Officer (RO) for scrutiny, so that verification can be done.

Verification will happen automatically after 45 days

The Unique Identification Authority of India has fixed a maximum time of 45 days for document verification. Aadhaar cards will be issued to the applicants whose verification process is not completed within one and a half months. In this situation, it will be assumed that the State Government has no objection in issuing Aadhaar to the said person.
