Aadhaar Information Change: On March 15, 2023, the government announced that updating of Aadhaar card would be free of cost till June 14, 2023. Today is the last date. Let’s know about it in detail.
The deadline to update Aadhaar free of cost will end on Wednesday, June 14. However, this service is free only on the myAadhaar portal and if you visit Aadhaar centers, a fee of Rs 50 will be charged as before. If the details are not updated in Aadhaar today, then from tomorrow i.e. June 15, 2023, the fee will also be charged on the myAadhaar portal.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is encouraging residents to upload Proof of Identity and Address (POI/POA) documents to re-verify their demographic details, especially if Aadhaar was issued more than 10 years ago. and never updated.
How to use the free service?
Residents can access the free service by logging in to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/portal using their Aadhaar number. A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number.
Also, users can go to ‘Document Update’, verify their information and upload documents to re-verify their information. To avail the facility, proof of identity and address has to be submitted on the official website.
