The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has appealed to the citizens to update Aadhaar details. The free deadline for updating details online has also been extended by 3 months. According to the Aadhaar authority, now Aadhaar users can update their details by visiting the free MyAadhaar Portal till September 14, 2023.

In a tweet, the Aadhaar Authority appealed to the citizens and said- Is your address updated in your Aadhaar? If not or the address has changed, please update it soon. Visit your nearest service center today and get your Aadhaar updated, or you can update your Aadhaar from the comfort of your home by visiting the myAadhaar portal.
Fee for online update?
According to the Aadhaar authority, if you want to update demographic details like address online, then a fee of Rs 50 will have to be paid. Along with updating the civil address, you can also update the document through the online portal. This work can also be done at any nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
How many times can Aadhaar data be updated?
- The Aadhaar Authority has implemented some limits for updating the details of Aadhaar, according to which-
- Aadhaar users can update their name only twice in their life.
- Aadhaar users can update gender only once in their life.
- Aadhaar users can update the date of birth only once in their life.
