AADHAAR CARD: Now Aadhar card will be updated instantly, govt started new facility

According to the information shared by India Post on the social media platform X, the postal department has also started providing services related to Aadhaar card keeping in mind the public convenience. Now people can go to the nearest post office and get their Aadhaar card updated. The fee for this will also be the same as that of the Aadhaar center.

What are the facilities available in the post office?

The Government of India has started the services of Aadhaar enrolment and updation in post offices through the Department of Posts. According to the official website of the Department of Posts, mainly two types of services are being provided in the Aadhaar centres of the post office.

  • Aadhaar Enrolment- The enrolment process involves electronic capture of biometric information of people. It is completely free.
  • Aadhaar Update – Under this, people can update name, email ID, mobile number, address, date of birth, biometric update, photo, 10 fingerprints and iris.

How to find the address of your Aadhaar update centre

According to India Post, 13,352 Aadhaar enrolment cum update centres have been set up across India to provide Aadhaar related services to the people. You can visit the India Post website https://www.indiapost.gov.in/ to see in which post offices this facility is available.
