Adopting modern technology, the Modi government has launched a new Aadhaar app to make Aadhaar card even easier and safer. This app is currently in the testing phase and if everything goes well, very soon this app will be available for use across the country. Through this app, you will no longer need to carry a physical Aadhaar card or its photocopy anywhere.
How will the new Aadhaar app work?
The biggest feature of this app is its verification through QR code and face ID. Just like we scan QR code for digital payment, Aadhaar identification can also be done by scanning QR code. Also, user identification can be done quickly and securely through face ID.
The hassle of photocopy and card is over
Now, whether it is for checking in at a hotel, any government work or to show identity during travel, you will not need to provide a photocopy of your Aadhaar card. This new app is completely digital and your information will be shared only with your permission.
Privacy and security will be strengthened
The biggest idea behind this initiative of UIDAI is to make Aadhaar data more secure. Through this app, the user will have the right to decide when and how much data they want to share. Your personal information will not be shared with anyone without your consent through the app.

On 8 April 2025, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared a video related to this app on social media. He said that this app will promote the privacy of users and eliminate the possibility of misuse or leakage of Aadhaar data.
