Aadhaar Card Update: The deadline for updating the Aadhaar card for free will end on 14 September. However, this service is free only on the myAadhaar portal and physical Aadhaar centers are charged as before. If this is not done by September 14, then fees will also be charged on the myAadhaar portal from September 15, 2023.

Actually, on behalf of UIDAI, people are being given a chance to update the documents in Aadhaar card for free. Along with this, it is said by UIDAI that people can get Aadhaar updated by September 14, 2023 for free through documents. Earlier this free service was available only till June 14, 2023 but later it was extended till the date of September.
My Aadhaar
while the free service is available only on the myAadhaar portal. If the update is done physically by visiting the Aadhaar centres, then people will have to pay the necessary fees at the Aadhaar centres. In such a situation, people can get their Aadhaar card updated for free till September 14 through online medium.
Aadhaar Card Update – Residents can login to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
using their Aadhaar number . – Select the option ‘Proceed to update address’. OTP will come on the registered mobile number. Click on ‘Update Document’. The current details of the resident will appear.
Aadhaar holder has to verify the details, if found correct, click on the next hyperlink. In the next step, the proof of identity and proof of address documents have to be selected from the dropdown list.
Upload the scanned copy of the address proof and click on the ‘Submit’ button. Upload copies of your documents to update them. Finally, the Aadhaar update request will be accepted and a 14 digit Update Request Number (URN) will be generated.
