Aadhaar Big Update: There will be a big change in Aadhaar, biometrics can be updated every 10 years

Aadhaar Update: At present, Aadhar card has become the most important document and now preparations have started to increase its scope. In this connection, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the government agency of Aadhaar, has asked the states to increase the government coverage in their respective states, so that the wastage of government money is reduced.

For this, the government has started a new initiative. Under this, UIDAI will encourage people to update their Aadhaar and biometric details every 10 years. However, UIDAI has also said that doing this is not a compulsion for anyone but advice. UIDAI also says that this will put a check on fake basis and the data of the people will also be completely safe.

Will update as per your wish

UIDAI said in its notification that every 10 years any person can update the biometrics and demographic details of their choice. Although this is not a rule yet, it is just advice. As per the existing rules, children in the age group of 5-15 years are allowed to update their biometric data. Let us inform that a person above 70 years of age will not need to update his biometric details.

Updates can be done from Aadhar center

If you also want to update your Aadhar card, then you can do it by visiting the nearest Aadhar center. Apart from this, to prevent misuse of Aadhaar, UIDAI recommends locking it. This is a special feature in which the Aadhaar number is temporarily locked and unlocked. With this, all the data of the card holder remains safe and confidentiality is maintained.

Aadhaar has been made for more than 90% of the youth

Talking about the government figures, 79 lakh have been enrolled in the country between April and July in the 0-5 year financial year. Apart from this, 2.64 crore children above the age of 5 years had child Aadhar till 31 March 2022. However, this figure increased to 3.43 crore in July. Apart from this, so far 93.41 percent of the people above the age of 18 years have been made Aadhar card in the country.
