For this, feedback has been sought from top level departmental officers. Instructions have been given to submit the report in 3 days. If positive feedback is received from the top level departmental officer, then the retirement age of the employees can be increased to 65 years.

Along with this, specialist doctors with the role of DNB training are also being considered by the Uttar Pradesh government not to be transferred before 3 years. In this regard, the Special Secretary of the Health Department has instructed the Director General Medical to submit a report within 3 days.
Medical services badly affected
Retirement age of doctors of health department can also be increased on the lines of medical teachers in medical colleges. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was submitted a proposal of several points including shortage of doctors. It has been tested by the CM’s office and was sent to the health department. It has been said that due to the retirement and transfer of a large number of specialist doctors, the medical services are getting badly affected. In which instructions have also been given regarding the requirement level and place of appointment of general specialist and super specialist doctors.
Decision possible to increase retirement age to 65 years
Arrangements are being made to retain retired doctors, but their number is said to be very less as compared to the sanctioned posts. Along with this, doctors meet in several months. In such a situation, the number of patients is increasing due to the continuous spread of communicable diseases and in view of the shortage of doctors in the hospitals, a decision can be taken to increase the retirement age of doctors to 65 years on the lines of the Medical Education Department. Suggestions have been given for this.

The responsibility of overseeing multiple health programs with one Director General has been huge. Apart from this, the posts of Director and Additional Director level are also becoming limited. In such a situation, there is a continuous shortage of doctors.

The pay scales of the Director General, Director, Additional Director and Senior L4 doctors are also the same. which is being considered. It has also been suggested to increase the number of posts by changing their designation. The proposal/suggestion received from the CM’s office by Mannan Akhtar, Special Secretary, Health Department, was sent to the Director General and a report has been called on it in 3 days.
