Sleeper coach will be made of aluminum
According to the report, the body of the new generation Vande Bharat train will be made of aluminum. Compared to the first Vande Bharat Express, the weight of the new generation train will be 2 to 3 less. Vande Bharat 3.0 train equipped with sleeper class coaches will have Wi-Fi facility. Also, it will have an LED screen to keep the passengers updated. To make the journey safe, smooth and comfortable, this train will have other facilities including automatic fire sensor, GPS system.
Will meet the needs of middle and lower class
Recently, Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav had announced that Vande Metro trains are going to take a big leap as the government’s focus is not the end consumer. Hydrogen-powered Vande Metro trains will cater to the needs of the middle and lower classes. He said that eco-friendly trains will bring a change in the daily life of every Indian. The step taken by the Railways is one of the biggest initiatives as hydrogen trains save energy. Along with this, it also makes very little noise, as a result there is no pollution at all from Vande Metro train.
On which routes Vande Bharat train is running
- Delhi to Varanasi: The country’s first Vande Bharat Express train started in 2019 from Delhi to Varanasi. This was the prototype of the Vande Bharat train and the train was named Train-18.
- Delhi to Katra: The country’s second Vande Bharat train runs between Delhi to Katra Mata Vaishno Devi. Vande Bharat train number 22439 departs from New Delhi at 6 am and reaches Katra at 2 pm. Apart from this, train number 22440 leaves Katra at 3 pm and reaches Delhi at 11 pm. This Vande Bharat train operates on this route on all days except Tuesday.
- Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar: The country’s third Vande Bharat train runs from Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar. It runs from Mumbai Central and reaches Gandhinagar capital via Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad. This train operates six days a week except Sundays. This is a semi high speed train.
- Una to Chandigarh: The country’s fourth Vande Bharat Express train reaches New Delhi via Una in Himachal to Chandigarh. Vande Bharat Express train number 22447 from New Delhi departs at 5.50 am and reaches Una in Himachal Pradesh at 10.30 am and terminates at 11.05 am at Amb Andaura railway station in Una district.
- Chennai to Mysore: Vande Bharat train started between Chennai to Mysore in South India. This is the country’s fifth Vande Bharat train, which has started on the Chennai-Bengaluru and Mysore routes. The train will depart from MGR Chennai Central at 5:50 am and reach Bengaluru City Junction at 10:25 am. Thereafter, it departs from Bangalore at 10:30 am and reaches Mysore at 12:30 pm. This first Vande Bharat train of South India is scheduled to reach Bangalore from Chennai in 4 hours 35 minutes, while it will take 2 hours to reach Mysore from Bangalore.
- Nagpur to Bilaspur: The country’s sixth Vande Bharat train was started between Nagpur in Maharashtra to Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. On last December 11, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started it by showing the green flag. This train covers a distance of about 413 kilometers in 5.30 five hours.
- Howrah to New Jalpaiguri: West Bengal’s first and country’s seventh Vande Bharat train was started last year on December 30, 2022. This train runs from Howrah Junction to New Jalpaiguri Junction. The biggest thing is that on the day this train was started, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Hira Ben had passed away and after performing her mother’s funeral, he flagged off this train through video conferencing. This train connects Howrah, New Farakka, Malda and Jalpaiguri. The train will run on this route six days a week except Wednesday. It will cover a distance of about 600 kilometers in about 7.50 hours.
