Akasa Air New Flights: Akasa Air has started operating flights from UP’s capital Lucknow to two metro cities. Know which are those two cities which can now be reached from Lucknow in just a few hours.

Akasa Air is starting its air service from Lucknow from Sunday. It has started two flights from Lucknow, one to Bangalore and the other to Mumbai. Airline officials met UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and handed over the first symbolic boarding pass to him. Akasa Air was represented by its CEO Vinay Dubey, Co-Founder Neelu Khatri, Co-Founder Praveen Iyer and other senior officials.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ” UP is getting massive benefits from the UDAN scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi . He has allowed people from the lowest strata of the society to dream of air travel. Improving is a realization of this.

” The Chief Minister of UP said, “Varanasi should also be connected with these routes along with Lucknow connected to Mumbai and Bengaluru. At present, 9 airports are functioning in the state and serving 75 destinations. Another 10 airports are under construction.” He said, “Uttar Pradesh will soon have five international airports – Varanasi, Kushinagar and Lucknow are operational while Jewar and Ayodhya are in progress.”

India’s newest airline started its commercial operations with two aircraft. With a view to establish a strong pan-India presence with a focus on Tier 2 and 3 route connectivity to metros, it will continue to grow its fleet by adding a new aircraft every two weeks. Akasa Air’s fleet size will be 18 aircraft by the end of March 2023 and over the next four years, the airline will add an additional 54 aircraft, taking its total fleet size to 72.
