There is good news for the employees of the Meghalaya government. In fact, the Meghalaya government has approved a 4 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) to state employees and pensioners.
The Meghalaya government has approved a 4 per cent increase in the dearness allowance of the employees of the state, on par with that of the central government employees. This increase in dearness allowance will be effective from July 2022. With this, from July 2022, DA has increased to 32 per cent from the current rate of 28 per cent. Before Diwali, there was an increase in the DA of central employees.
It is noteworthy that on September 29, the central government had approved to increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent. Now 50 lakh central employees and 62 lakh pensioners will get DA of 38 per cent. The increased amount of DA will be valid from July this year only and the employees will also be given arrears of previous months.
Apart from the Center, there has been an increase in the DA of the employees of these states, tell that the central employees used to get 34 percent DA, which has now increased to 38 percent. Apart from the central government, the governments of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, UP, Karnataka, Punjab, Assam etc. have also announced an increase in the DA of their employees.
