7th Pay Commission in Karnataka: A joint working committee of different organizations of government employees in Karnataka had applied for the appointment of a retired High Court judge as the chairman of the Seventh Pay Commission.
Good days are coming for the government employees in the state of Karnataka. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has announced the formation of the Seventh Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission) to review the salaries of government employees. The government has appointed former chief secretary Sudhakar Rao as the chairman of this commission to review the pay scales of state government employees.
Bommai made the announcement in March, in fact, a joint working committee of different organizations of government employees in Karnataka had applied for the appointment of a retired high court judge as the chairman of the Seventh Pay Commission. On the other hand, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai also announced in March that a commission would be set up to review the salaries of state government employees.
Six lakh employees will be benefited
The newly formed commission will look into the different possibilities of salary of about six lakh employees. If the Seventh Pay Commission is implemented in the state, then it will benefit six lakh employees. Let us tell you that the assembly elections are proposed in Karnataka next year. Earlier in September, after increasing the DA of employees by the Central Government, many state governments have also recommended this.
