Ration Card: The government is going to cancel all the ration cards giving wrong information. Ration card holders will no longer get free wheat, gram and rice because the government is about to stop giving free ration to those who have given wrong information in the ration card.

At present, the government is about to cancel about 10 lakh such rations whose information has been found to be wrong. The review process is still going on but its number may increase in the coming days. At present, more than 80 crore Indian citizens are taking advantage of being a ration card holder, out of which more than one crore beneficiaries are not eligible for this scheme.

Government made list

The 10 lakh beneficiaries of the government identified so far will not get free wheat, gram and rice. The government has directed to send the list of ineligible ration card holders to the local ration dealers who will prepare a list of names of fake beneficiaries and send the report of such card holders to the district headquarters. The department will cancel the ration card of such beneficiaries after reviewing the information.

Ration card of these people will be canceled

According to NFSA, those paying income tax income tax will be removed from the list of ration cards. Apart from this, people with more than 10 bighas of land will not get the benefit of ration card. The government has also identified some people who are running illegal business by selling ration for free. Action will be taken against them also. Sources said that most of the ration cards are misused in Uttar Pradesh.

Government gives free ration

In Kerala, the government has failed to distribute 13,000 tonnes of rice despite the recent hike in the prices of food and other necessities. The central government had allotted free ration to people with ration cards.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, priority yellow and pink ration card holders will get five kilograms of rice free of cost every month. Kerala has 41 lakh yellow and pink cards with 1.54 crore members. In September and October, many cardholders did not get the full allocation of rice due to delays in transporting rice from NFSA godowns to ration shops under the department. Due to this the cardholders got the rice which was in stock at the shops.
