7th Pay Commission: On festivals, the Modi government has given a big relief to the central employees by increasing the dearness allowance. Dearness Allowance has been increased from 34 per cent to 38 per cent with effect from July 1, 2022.
But the central government is preparing to give another gift to the central employees. The government is also considering increasing the House Rent Allowance after Dearness Allowance.
Let us tell you that according to the city in which the government employees are working, they are given house rent allowance. It is divided into three categories. Class X employees get house rent allowance at the rate of 27% of their basic pay. Y category employees get house rent allowance at the rate of 18 to 20 percent of their basic salary.
Whereas the employees of Z category are given house rent allowance at the rate of 9 to 10 percent. The house rent allowance is decided according to the area and city. It is believed that the house rent allowance of central employees can be increased by 3 to 4 percent from the current level.
Earlier on September 28, 2022, keeping in mind the festive season and back-breaking inflation, the Modi government has increased the dearness allowance of central employees from 34 per cent to 38 per cent. Which has been implemented from July 1, 2022 to February 2023.
On which Rs 6591 crore will be spent in a year and Rs 4394.24 crore will be spent from July to February in 2022-23. The government has also increased dearness relief to its pensioners.
