Giving relief to the blue ration card holders, the government has now extended the last date of e-KYC from March 31 to May 31. Everyone can avail the facility of free wheat by getting their e-KYC done.
But remember that despite getting one more month, if people show negligence by not getting e-KYC done, then the wheat to be given to the ration card holder from the next quota may be stopped. However, out of the 1.55 crore beneficiaries across Punjab, e-KYC has been done for 1.17 crore beneficiaries. There are a total of 1 lakh 2 thousand 600 blue ration card holders in Pathankot, Jugyal, Taragarh, Narot Jaimal Singh and Sujanpur of Pathankot district.
