In August 2024, the DGCA team inspected the airport for three days and registered 44 small and big objections. Due to these objections, the airport could not get the license. However, later all the objections were rectified and the report was sent to the DGCA. After this, on February 13 and 14 this year, a 6-member team of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security inspected the airport. After the completion of the inspection, this team had raised some objections and directed to remove them by February 28 so that they could be given license in March.

The airport is being built on 7,200 acres.

Work has started in 2014 to make Hisar airport international. Earlier the airport had 200 acres of land. 7 thousand acres of land has been added to it in two phases. This will become the biggest airport in the country, because no other airport has so much land.

According to the minister, the airport has got the license. Now flight services will be started from here soon. The remaining formalities are also being completed. – Dr. Kamal Gupta, former Civil Aviation Minister.
