New Delhi- The date of the famous Amarnath Yatra, which is held every year to visit Baba Barfani, has been revealed. It was decided in the meeting of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board that the Amarnath Yatra will run from July 3 to August 9, 2025. This year, the duration of the holy Amarnath Yatra will be 38 days. The registration process for the Yatra will begin soon, so that the devotees can plan their journey on time.

The meeting was chaired by Amarnath Shrine Board Chairman and Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha, in which Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat, Chief Secretary Atal Dhulu and many senior officials participated. In this meeting, the preparations for the Amarnath Yatra and its program were discussed, after which the date of the yatra was finalized. In such a situation, now the devotees will be able to have darshan of Baba Barfani from July 3 to August 9.

The guidelines state that children below 13 years of age and people above 75 years of age will not be eligible for registration. Before starting the Amarnath Yatra, all pilgrims will have to show a mandatory health certificate. Each pilgrim will be allowed only one travel permit, which will not be transferable.

Amarnath Yatra lasts for about 45 to 60 days every year. Last year it started on June 29 and continued till August 19, the day of Raksha Bandhan. Last year, registration for Amarnath Yatra started on April 17. Registration is done through both online and offline modes. Similar preparations are being made this time too. Special arrangements will be made for the pilgrims by the trust and the government regarding Amarnath Yatra. Special care will be taken for security. Arrangements will be made for their accommodation. There will also be a facility of langar.

Amarnath Yatra is considered one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. Every year, millions of pilgrims reach the cave through difficult mountain paths. Amarnath Dham is one of the main pilgrimage sites of Lord Shiva. A rare and natural Shivalinga of Mahadev can be seen in Amarnath.
