Bank work 5 Days: Bank employees will get relief in the budget. Banks will open only five days a week. The opening and closing time of bank branches will change for crores of bank customers of the country.
The government will give the green signal to the decision to open banks for five days. Whether the government approves this important decision in the budget or not, it will be known tomorrow on February 1. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present her budget tomorrow on February 1.
Banks should remain open for 5 days – demand of bank employees and association
Bank employees and associations have been demanding five days working from the government for a long time. If the government does this, then banks will have to work 40 minutes extra in the branch every day. After that, bank branches will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday every week. Till now, banks work on the first and third Saturdays. Banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays. There have been many discussions between the Bank Employees Association, RBI and government officials regarding five days working in banks. However, now the approval of RBI and the government is awaited on this whole matter. Only after this, the system of five days working will be implemented in all the banks of the country.
Bank employees will get 8 holidays in a month instead of 6.
Bank employees are demanding 8 holidays instead of 6 in a month. For this, an agreement has been reached between the bank employee unions and the Indian Banks Association (IBA). Now this entire matter is pending for the approval of the government and RBI.
Bank customers will face problems
People may face problems in completing their work due to banks working for 5 days. Especially, those who are working and complete their work on Saturdays will not get Saturday to complete their work. Work will have to be completed in the 5-day window only.
Will this be the new time for opening and closing of bank branches?
If the government approves this proposal, then the banks will be open for 40 minutes extra. Bank branches will open from 9:45 am. Which currently opens for public dealing at 10 am. That is, bank branches will open for public 15 minutes before their regular time. In the evening, bank branches will close by 5:30 pm. Which currently closes at 5 pm. Currently, most of the banks are open for public dealing from 10 am to 4 pm. Unions say that customer service will not be affected by the implementation of 5 days working. The working hours of bank employees can be increased by about 40 to 45 minutes per day.
