According to a report by Business Standard, the government may increase the credit card limit. At present, the total limit of credit cards given to farmers is Rs 3 lakh. Now there is talk that the government is considering increasing this limit to Rs 5 lakh.
The limit can be increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh
According to the report, an official said that the limit of Kisan Credit Card has not been increased for a long time. Due to which there is a demand to increase it. Through such budget, the government can increase the limit from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. The government can take this step to strengthen the rural economy.
Loan available at 4%
Farmers get loan from the government at 9 percent on Kisan Credit Card. But the government gives 2 percent subsidy to the farmers. But on repaying the loan on time, 3 percent more interest is deducted. Due to which farmers get this loan at only 4 percent. Let us tell you, the credit card scheme was started in 1998. Crores of people are getting the benefit of this government scheme.
Apart from this, farmers will keep an eye on any big announcement from the government. Be it crop insurance scheme or Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers are waiting for big announcements regarding these too. Currently, three installments of Rs 2,000 each are given under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
