If you have a policy of LIC (Life Insurance Corporation) and due to some reasons you have not been able to pay its premium, then it may have lapsed. There is such a limit with every policy that if you do not pay the premium after a specified period, then your policy will be discontinued. Once your policy is closed, you do not get the chance to get it activated again and again.

To get revived, you must first check whether your policy has lapsed or not. You need to know the details of the policy and the time when it has lapsed. LIC offers several ways to check policy status. The online method is user friendly. Here we are telling you about it. For this you have to register on the official portal.
If new user then-
Step 1: Go to LIC’s customer portal.
Step 2: Click on “New User”.
Step 3: Enter the details like name, gender, date of birth, policy number, installment premium payment, registered mail id and mobile number.
Step 4: Click on “Proceed”.
Step 5: Now you can check your policy status by going to online services.
Process for Registered Users
Step 1: Go to LIC’s customer portal.
Step 2: Click on “Registered User”.
Step 3: Enter the details like name, date of birth and registered email id.
Step 4: After login, click on “Policy Status”.
Step 5: Under this option, you will be able to see all the details like your due premium date, status, lapsed policy, unpaid premium etc.
