In today’s time, Aadhaar card has become necessary for every small and big process. Be it banking or buying a SIM card. But some people can misuse this 12-digit unique ID. There have been incidents of bank fraud with the help of Aadhaar. Therefore, it is important to ensure that your Aadhaar is safe and not misused.

UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has provided some online tools and services for the security of Aadhaar. Let’s know the measures to monitor the use of Aadhaar and its security.

First of all go to myAadhaar portal. Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code there. Click on Login with OTP option. An OTP will come on your registered mobile number, enter it.

After logging in, go to the Authentication History section. Here you can see how long your Aadhaar has been used. If you come across any suspicious activity, report it to UIDAI immediately.

After this, if you want to complain, file a complaint on the UIDAI website. Call the toll free helpline number 1947. Send your complaint via email to help@uidai.gov.in .

For this, go to the official website of UIDAI. Click on the Lock/Unlock Aadhaar section. Read the instructions and guidelines carefully. Enter your Virtual ID (VID), name, PIN code and captcha code. Click on Send OTP. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and lock your biometric data.

Once your biometric data is locked, it can be unlocked whenever you want. This feature ensures that no one can access your biometric data without your permission.

Check your Aadhaar regularly and take immediate action if you notice any suspicious activity. Use a biometric lock to keep Aadhaar secure and avoid using it in unknown places.
