School holidays have been extended once again due to cold wave and severe cold in Uttar Pradesh. This decision has been taken especially keeping in mind the safety of small children. Due to cold weather and fog in Ayodhya district, holidays have been declared in schools till January 25. Schools will reopen after Republic Day.
Schools closed in Ayodhya from 1 to 5
District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh of Ayodhya district has ordered to keep all schools from classes 1 to 5 closed till January 25 keeping in mind the cold and fog. This order will be applicable to government, aided, recognized and all board schools.
Change in school timings
The District Magistrate has also changed the timings of schools from class 6 to 12. Now this school will open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Earlier school hours were from 9:30 AM. This change has been made for the convenience of children and to protect them from cold.
Alert of the Meteorological Department
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain and stormy winds in Ayodhya and surrounding areas on 22nd and 23rd January. Along with this, the possibility of further cold has been expressed. Ayodhya recorded a maximum temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 7.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
Special attention for small children
Considering the cold wave and severe cold, the administration has given priority to the safety of small children. As per the order of District Magistrate, it will be mandatory for all school management to follow this decision. This decision is expected to provide relief to young children and their parents. The government has taken this decision giving priority to the health of the students due to the cold.
