Holidays declared in schools

Mirzapur District Order: The Mirzapur District Magistrate announced on January 20 that all schools from nursery to class 8 (whether affiliated to UP Board, CBSE, or ICSE) will remain closed till January 21. However, despite this closure, strict instructions have been issued for teachers and other staff. They will have to be present in the school from 10 am to 3 pm and perform administrative work like DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), U-Dias (Unified District Information System for Education), and other government responsibilities.

Ayodhya district order: District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh in Ayodhya has ordered that all schools from pre-primary to class 5 will remain closed till January 25, 2025. At the same time, schools from class 6 to 12 will run from 10 am to 3 pm. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the impact of cold wave and the safety of children, so that they can avoid extreme cold and there is no negative effect on their health.

Agra District Order: The effect of cold wave is increasing in Agra too, due to which all CBSE, ICSE and government and private schools were ordered to remain closed till January 19. These schools will reopen from January 20, and online classes can be conducted as per the school management. Teachers have also been instructed to be present in the school as per their duties.

Important Instructions for Staff:

While students have been given holidays at this time, the administration has issued strict instructions for the school staff:

  • It will be mandatory for all teachers, Shiksha Mitras, instructors and other staff to be present in the school from 10 am to 3 pm.
  • All administrative work in schools must be completed on time, including processes like DBT and U-Dias.

Normal life is being affected due to cold wave and falling temperatures in various districts of Uttar Pradesh. Keeping in mind the health and safety of children, the government decided to keep schools closed so that they are not affected by the cold. However, this holiday is only for students, and the school staff will have to perform their responsibilities so that educational work and administrative work continue smoothly.
