According to the 7th Pay Commission, the basic salary in Level-1 (Prisoner, Safai Karmach) was Rs 18,000, which is expected to increase to Rs 21,300 after the 8th Pay Commission. In Level-2, the salary may increase from Rs 19,900 to Rs 23,880, in Level-3 from Rs 21,700 to Rs 26,040, in Level-4 from Rs 25,500 to Rs 30,600, while in Level-5 from Rs 29,200 to Rs 35,040.
Level 6 to 9
The basic salary of employees in Level 6 to 9 (Teachers, Rural Development Officers, etc.) will increase from Rs 35,400 to Rs 42,480 (Level-6), from Rs 44,900 to Rs 53,880 (Level-7), from Rs 47,600 to Rs 57,120 (Level-8) and from Rs 53,100 to Rs 63,720 (Level-9).
Level 10 to 12
The basic salary of employees in Level 10 will increase from Rs 56,100 to Rs 67,320, the salary in Level-11 will increase from Rs 67,700 to Rs 81,240, and the salary in Level-12 will increase from Rs 78,800 to Rs 94,560.
The basic salary of Level 13 and 14
employees will increase from Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 1,47,720 and the salary of Level 14 will increase from Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 1,73,040.
The salaries of IAS officers of levels 15 to 18
secretaries and principal secretaries (levels 15 to 18) will increase significantly. The salary of level 15 will increase from Rs 1,82,200 to Rs 2,18,400, level 16 from Rs 2,05,400 to Rs 2,46,480, level 17 from Rs 2,25,000 to Rs 2,70,000, while the salary of level 18 will increase from Rs 2,50,000 to Rs 3,00,000.
