This counselor service portal, available in 167 German missions around the world, includes 28 types of national visas. These include visas for education, employment, training and family. Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has praised this step.
She said, “To bring talent to the country, it is very important to have a secure visa process that is modern as well as digital.” She also said, “Every year Germany lacks at least 400,000 skilled workers. To run the country, 400,000 intelligent people will be needed in tech companies, care sector and craft sector.”

Foreign Minister Annalena said, “In the old paper process, one had to wait for a long time for visa. This causes trouble to people. At a time when Germany is one of the largest economies in the world and is emerging as a modern country for immigration, then we need a national visa process that is digital, secure and modern.
