School Winter Holiday 2025: There is relief news for school students. Schools are going to open from January 16 in many states, where holidays in schools of Rajasthan and UP have been extended once again due to severe cold, cold wave and dense fog.
In Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh, holidays have been declared for 2 days on 15th and 16th January for children from class nursery to 8th. In Tamil Nadu too, it has been decided to keep all educational institutions including schools and colleges closed till January 19 on the occasion of Pongal. Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has also declared holidays in all colleges from January 11 to 16.
Rajasthan: Schools will remain closed on Thursday in these districts
- Khairthal-Tijara, Jodhpur and Nagaur Collectors have declared holiday today on 15th January for students of class 1st to 5th in all government and non-government schools, Khairthal will also have holiday on 16th January.
- Ajmer, Beawar, Sawai Madhopur and Dungarpur Collectors have declared holiday till 16th January for children from pre-primary to class 8th.
- Holidays have been declared in schools in Alwar till 18th January.
- Bundi Collector has declared holiday till 16th January for children from class 1st to class 5th in all government and non-government schools.
School timings changed in Udaipur
- Udaipur Collector Arvind Poswal has changed the school timings in view of the effect of winter. This change will be effective from 15 to 18 January. School timings for students of class 1 to 8 have been kept from 10 am to 3 pm and for students of class 9 to 12 from 10 am.
- Action will be taken as per rules against schools that disobey the order. The timings of school teachers will remain the same. This order will be applicable to all government and private schools in the district.
Holidays extended in UP too
- The Ghaziabad district administration has issued an order to keep all schools from class 1 to 8 closed till January 18, 2025. All schools affiliated to all council, secondary (UP Board), CBSE, ICSE or other boards will remain completely closed for students till 18-01-2025. During this period, all the staff/employees of the school will remain present in the school and do departmental work.
- Instructions have been given to keep all schools up to class eight closed till January 16 in Moradabad, Rampur, Hamirpur, Sambhal, Lakhimpur, Kheri, Azamgarh, Ballia, Badaun and Shahjahanpur. The timing of schools from class 9th to 12th in Moradabad and Rampur has also been changed, now the classes will run from 10 am to 3 pm.
