PM Modi had launched it.

On 9 December last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the LIC Bima Sakhi scheme from Panipat in Haryana and now it has completed a month. Within a month, this government scheme has received tremendous response and 52,511 women have registered themselves. Out of these, more than 27,000 women have also been sent appointment letters after the completion of the process.

Earning starts with training.

LIC’s Bima Sakhi scheme is special in many ways and its biggest benefit is that along with the training given to empower the women joining it, their earning also starts. In fact, in Bima Sakhi Yojna, they are given complete training to become LIC Agent. Along with this, they are also given Rs 5,000 to Rs 7000 every month. Under the scheme, there is a provision to give Rs 7,000 per month to women taking training in the first year, Rs 6,000 in the second year and Rs 5,000 per month in the third year. There is also a facility to give commission based incentives to women who complete their target.

3 years of training is available under the scheme

As the name suggests, LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana is specially designed for women, which is a stipend based scheme. Women participating in this scheme are given three years of training to become LIC agents and from the very beginning they are given a target of some policies and a stipend is given. The age limit to join this scheme is 18 to 70 years and the minimum qualification is 10th pass. But some conditions have also been imposed. According to these, family members of any LIC agent or its employee cannot apply.

Talking about the necessary documents, to apply, the woman should have age certificate, residence certificate, and certificate of passing 10th examination and attested copy. It is important to fill the correct information while applying, because in case of mismatch, it can be rejected.
