Delhi Srinagar Vande Bharat Express Update: Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Information and Publicity of Railway Board, said that security measures have been taken in the Vande Bharat Express running between Delhi-Srinagar in such a way that the operation of the train will not be affected during snowfall in the Kashmir Valley.
The cabin is specially designed
The loco-pilot’s cabin and screen have been designed in a special way. Heaters have been installed to keep the train coaches warm. Also, a separate arrangement has been made to ensure that the water used in the train does not freeze.
Both railway track and Chenab bridge are ready
The final decision on which date this train will start has not been taken yet but all the necessary requirements for running the train have been fulfilled. Both the railway track and the Chenab Bridge are ready.
Some special features added for Kashmir Valley
Northern Railway’s Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer AK Chandra said that the train running between Delhi and Srinagar is like other Vande Bharat Expresses but has been specially designed to run in the Kashmir Valley.
Silicone Heating Pad on Water Tank
Some additional features have been added to it. Silicon heating pads have been installed on the water tank to maintain the temperature.
The snow won’t last long on the wind
900 kilowatt heaters will keep the coach warm. The glass on the windows of this Vande Bharat Express is such that ice will not stick on it for long.
