e PAN Card Download: The government has recently announced PAN Card 2.0, in which users will be issued QR code based PAN cards. After the announcement of PAN Card 2.0, people are searching for information related to PAN card on the Internet.
Cyber criminals are taking advantage of this and cheating people. After the advent of smartphones, people keep their important documents in digital form, so that they can be shown whenever needed. PIB Fact Check has asked to be cautious of e-mails coming in the name of e-PAN Card download through its official X handle.
The fact check team said that hackers have sent emails to many users to download e-PAN Card. The post claims that this is a fake email. Hackers are committing cyber fraud with people by sending them fake links. If you have also received any such email, SMS or WhatsApp message, then ignore it because it is fake and has been sent by hackers to steal your personal information.
It could be a fraud
Cyber criminals send such links and steal personal information from people such as name, address, date of birth, Aadhaar card number and even bank details. After the information reaches hackers, users can be defrauded. Such links sent in e-mail or SMS may also contain viruses, which can hack into your phone or computer. Along with your personal information, personal documents, photos etc. can also be stolen.

From where to download PAN card?
To download PAN card, you can visit the official Income Tax website of the Government of India. There you will find the option of e-PAN Card. After clicking on it, you can download your e-PAN card. Apart from this, you can also check the digital version of your PAN card on Digilocker.
