The Indian women’s U-19 team has avenged the final defeat to the boys. In the Women’s U-19 Asia Cup title match against Bangladesh, India registered a brilliant victory on the strength of a lethal bowling attack and captured the trophy.

Batting first, India scored 117 runs for the loss of 7 wickets on the strength of Trisha’s half-century. The target was small but the Bangladesh team was bowled out for just 76 runs in front of the killer bowling.

In the Under-19 Asia Cup, the Indian women’s team registered a brilliant victory despite losing the toss. The team’s batting was disappointing and half the team was bowled out for 84 runs. Amidst the continuous falling obstacles, Trisha alone managed to hold one end. She scored 52 runs off 47 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes to get the team out of trouble. Thanks to this innings, India could only score 117 runs against Bangladesh in 20 overs. Mithila Vinod scored 17 runs while captain Nikki Prasad scored 12 runs.

Bangladesh equalised

When India set a target of 118 runs for Bangladesh, the fans were expecting another trophy. Recently, the men’s team won the Under-19 Asia Cup title by defeating India in the final. The Indian women turned the tables here and avenged the defeat to the men’s team. Ayushi Shukla took three wickets, Parunika Sisodia and Sonam Yadav took 2 wickets each and won the match for India. The entire Bangladesh team collapsed for just 76 runs in 18.3 overs and India won the match by 41 runs to capture the trophy.
