The assembly elections are to be held in the country’s capital Delhi early next year. For this, the Election Commission held a meeting with the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi, Delhi Police and other officials on Thursday. Looking at these preparations, it seems that the dates of the Delhi assembly elections can be announced at any time. Meanwhile, the Congress has also made it clear by releasing the first list of candidates that the contest in Delhi is going to be triangular.

Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party has already released two lists of candidates. Now the first list of candidates has also come from the Congress. Now the BJP’s list of candidates is awaited. It is hoped that the Delhi Assembly elections can be held in February.

Along with this, State Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav said, ‘All sections have been taken care of. Experienced and young faces will be seen among the candidates.’ When asked if he himself will contest the elections, Yadav said, ‘Why not? We will definitely contest. There will be names of many senior leaders with me, let us tell you that the Delhi Assembly elections are likely to be held in February next year. He also said that a strong face will definitely be seen in front of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
