The minimum temperature in Northwest India remains between 5-10 degrees, 10-15℃ in plains and 15-20℃ in Central India, Gujarat, Maharashtra and eastern parts of India. According to the Meteorological Department, the cold may increase in the next 3 days due to cold wave in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Eastern Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Western Rajasthan and Western Madhya Pradesh.

Dense fog warning in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh will also face dense fog along with cold wave.

Clouds will rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department report, a low pressure area has formed in the southeast of the Bay of Bengal and the adjacent eastern equatorial Indian Ocean. The cyclonic circulation getting active due to this will move towards west-northwest during the next 24 hours. After this, this cyclonic circulation reached the southwest Bay of Bengal away from Sri Lanka-Tamil. Due to its effect, a western disturbance is located in northwestern Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, a western disturbance is active in Jammu and Kashmir.

Due to these weather conditions, there was snowfall in the mountains and rain is expected in the plains. Therefore, heavy rain is expected at different places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh in the next 4 days. Karaikal, Yanam, Mahe, Rayalaseema will also receive light to moderate rain with thunderstorms. In such a situation, fishermen are advised not to go to the southeast Bay of Bengal. Stay away from the southwest Bay of Bengal, Somalia coast, Tamil Nadu coast, Lakshadweep Sea, Kerala coasts as well as Gulf of Mannar, Comorin area.

According to the Meteorological Department, on Monday, the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 21.6 degrees Celsius, 3.2 degrees below normal. This is the lowest maximum temperature of this season. The minimum temperature was also recorded at 8.2 degrees, one degree below normal. The weather is clear in Delhi-NCR right now, but cold winds are blowing in the morning and evening, making people feel chilly. The weather will change from the night of 10 December and dense fog may cover the sky in the morning and evening for the next 5 days.

During the last 24 hours, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi-NCR remained between 22 to 24°C and 6 to 10°C. The maximum temperature in Delhi today on 10 December 2024 was 17.36 degrees Celsius. The minimum and maximum temperatures during the day are expected to be 9.05 degrees and 22.23 degrees. The air has 37% humidity and the wind speed is 37 kilometers per hour. The sun rose at 7:03 am and will set at 5:24 pm.
