This is how you can get your Aadhaar card updated for free:-

Step 1

  • If you have not updated your Aadhaar card yet, you can get it updated
  • This work is currently being done online for free and after 14 December 2024, you may have to pay a fee.
  • To update your Aadhaar card, you have to visit the official website of UIDAI https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
  • You need to go here and login
Step 2
  • To login you have to click on login and then enter your 12 digit Aadhaar card number
  • After filling the Aadhaar number, you have to fill the captcha code given on the screen
  • After this, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number i.e. the number linked to your Aadhaar card, enter it here.
  • Now the dashboard will open in front of you
Step 3
  • After this, you will see many options here, out of which you have to click on the option of ‘Update Aadhaar Card’
  • Now here you have to upload two documents
  • In this, you have to upload a photo ID and an address proof which are verified by the department and if these are correct then the Aadhaar update is done successfully.
Step 4
  • Here you get many document options to upload photo ID and address proof
  • Select your desired document and upload it here.
  • Keep in mind that the size of the document should not exceed 2 MB
  • Then within a few days your Aadhar card gets updated.
