School Holiday in Bihar: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Bihar Education Department S. Siddharth has said that the 2025 summer vacation dates will be announced in December 2024 only.
This will give teachers an opportunity to make their travel and other plans in advance. ACS has urged teachers to assign homework and project work to children during summer vacations, so that their studies are not interrupted.
Siddharth assured that appropriate decisions will be taken regarding winter vacations as well. District Magistrates (DMs) have been given the power to decide to close schools when the temperature drops. Let it be said that this year, after the opening of the school in the extreme summer and the health of many students deteriorated, questions were raised on the education department.
Change in policy by former ACS KK Pathak
It is worth noting that former ACS KK Pathak not only limited the powers of the DM but also gave instructions to open schools during summer vacations. By changing this policy, the present administration has returned their rights to the district magistrates. With this change, teachers and students are expected to get relief, but with this decision, the functioning of the education department will be more smooth and balanced.
