Holiday Announced in Punjab – Voting for by-elections is to be held in the state tomorrow, mainly in Barnala, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Sri Muktsar Sahib districts, a holiday has been announced on November 20 (Wednesday). Let us tell you that by-elections are being held in Punjab on November 20 in four assembly seats in Barnala, Giddarbaha, Dera Baba Nanak and Chabewal.
According to the notification issued by the Punjab government, there will be a local holiday in government offices, boards, corporations and educational institutions located in Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Sri Muktsar Sahib and Barnala districts.
The notification also states that if a government officer/employee is a voter in the electoral roll of Dera Baba Nanak, Chabewal, Giddarbaha and Barnala constituencies and works in any government office or educational institution in any other district of Punjab, he/she May take special leave. This leave will not be deducted from the leave account of the officer/employee.
