Ration Card KYC Deadline: Ration card holders must complete KYC before this date, else their ration card will be cancelled

Ration Card KYC Deadline: It is necessary for all the beneficiaries who have received ration cards under the National Food Security Scheme to do e-KYC. The last date for getting eKYC done has now been extended till 31 December.

Let us tell you that under the National Food Security Scheme, 2 lakh 23 thousand 375 beneficiaries in the district have not yet got eKYC done.

There are a total of 1 lakh 51 thousand 118 ration cards in the district. There are 6 lakh 3 thousand 714 beneficiaries in this. Out of this, only 3 lakh 80 thousand 339 beneficiaries have got their KYC done so far, which is 63 percent of the total beneficiaries. Regarding this, SDO Avinash Kunal said that by December 31, all card holders should definitely get their eKYC done along with all the members of their family. The names of those who do not get eKYC done by the stipulated time can be removed from the ration card by the government.

What will happen if e-KYC is not completed

If e-KYC is not completed by the deadline, the ration card holder cannot get rice and sugar. The name of the ration card holder can be removed from the ration card. Due to this, they may be deprived of getting food grains of various welfare schemes.

He said that under the Food Security Scheme, there are a total of 1 lakh 51 thousand 118 ration cards in the district. The total number of beneficiaries in this is 6 lakh 3 thousand 714. Out of this, a total of 3 lakh 80 thousand 339 beneficiaries have got KYC done so far. Which is 63 percent of the total beneficiaries. The remaining 37 percent beneficiaries have not yet got KYC done.

In the light of the instructions received from the Government of India and the order received from the Supreme Court, it is absolutely necessary to get KYC done for all the members of the ration card holder under the National Food Security Act. E-KYC is a technical process of identification of beneficiaries, in which the identity of the beneficiary is verified with the data present in Aadhaar through the biometric data of the beneficiary.

Those ration card holders who are living outside the state for livelihood and other work, they can also do e-KYC of ration card anywhere in the country. For this, now the beneficiaries do not need to live in their native state. The facility of e-KYC is available all over the country. They can avail this benefit by going to the public distribution system shop near their place of residence and getting free e-KYC done.
