Considering the serious situation of air pollution in Delhi and nearby areas, the government has decided to close all primary schools until further orders. To ensure that children’s education is not disrupted, the Delhi government has decided to shift all primary schools to online mode.

Chief Minister Atishi Marlena has given this information through a post on X. Let us tell you that the AQI level (Air Quality Index) in Delhi has remained above 400 for the past few days. Due to this, problems like irritation in eyes and difficulty in breathing have started appearing due to exposure to open air. Along with this, implementation of GRAP-3 in Delhi NCR has also been announced. It will come into effect from November 15, under which several strict restrictions will be imposed.

Chief Minister Atishi announced today on X, “Due to rising pollution levels, all primary schools in Delhi will conduct online classes till further orders.” Atishi also holds the Education Department. Air quality in the national capital remained in the ‘severe’ category for the second day in a row, prompting authorities to implement stricter anti-pollution measures. These restrictions will come into effect from Friday.

After Chief Minister Atishi Marlena directed the closure of primary schools in view of increasing air pollution, the Education Directorate of Delhi Government has also issued an order in this regard. The Directorate of Education has issued an order to close schools due to pollution. Until further orders, physical classes in schools up to class V will remain closed. Instructions have been issued for conducting online classes. This decision was taken after CAQM implemented GRAP 3 due to increased pollution.
