Smog and air pollution are at their peak in Delhi. Due to which the effect of cold is not felt and people are troubled by humidity. According to the Meteorological Department, due to cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal, Western Disturbance has become active in South India, due to which heavy rains may occur in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Puducherry till November 14.
Cold has knocked in many states of North India. Dense fog is prevailing in the morning and evening in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand, while a thick blanket of smog has spread in Delhi due to air pollution. It is estimated that the temperature will fall after November 15 and the temperature may fall further due to fog from November 21.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for South India. ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts of Kerala, while ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Puducherry. Along with this, rain is also expected in some parts of Karnataka.

Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may receive heavy rains between 9 and 11 November, and torrential rains are expected in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, and Karaikal from 12 to 14 November. Fishermen have been advised to avoid fishing off the coast of Kerala and Lakshadweep in view of the stormy winds.
