New Delhi: After Diwali, people have started preparing for Chhath Puja in full swing. Chhath Puja is mainly a major festival of Bihar and Jharkhand, but now it is being celebrated with great pomp not only in this country but also abroad.

In such a situation, the Reserve Bank of India has declared a holiday in some states. According to the list of holidays of RBI, banks will remain closed for 4 consecutive days from 7 to 10 November on the occasion of Chhath Puja. Please note that this also includes the second Saturday of November and the weekly holiday on Sunday.

Banks will remain closed for 4 consecutive days in these states

This year the festival of Chhath Puja is starting from 5th November with Nahai-Khai. During these 4 days, women fasting will fast for 36 hours. After this, the fast will be ended by offering Ardha to the Sun God on the morning of 7th November. In such a situation, there will be a bank holiday in Bihar, Delhi, Jharkhand and Bengal on 7th November.

After this, there will be a holiday in these states on Friday, 8th November as well. There will be a holiday in Bihar, Jharkhand and Meghalaya on this day. After this, the second Saturday of the month of November is falling on 9th November, so there will be a holiday in all the states of the country, while on 10th November, due to Sunday being a weekly holiday, all the banks will be closed.

These festivals fall in November

In the month of November, there will be a total of more than 10 bank holidays. This includes Diwali holiday, Kut festival, Kannada Rajyotsava, Balipadami, Vikram Samvat New Year’s Day, Chhath (evening prayer), Chhath (morning prayer) / Wangala festival, Igas-Baghwal, Guru Nanak Jayanti Purnima / Rahas Purnima, Kanakadas Jayanti, Seng Kutsnem festival.
