Pensioners can submit their digital life certificate through face authentication using Android smartphone. After getting it made, you will not need to go to the service center.
Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra is a digital service which is very useful for the elderly receiving pension. It uses biometrics to help pensioners. This service allows pensioners to submit their life certificate online, anytime and from anywhere.
From November 2021, pensioners can submit their digital life certificate through face authentication using Android smartphones. After it is made, you do not need to visit service centers or banks. To get your Digital Life Certificate, you can visit its online portal and get it by using the fingerprint reader.
Apart from this, it can also be downloaded from Jeevan Pramaan mobile. Through this, you can avail the benefit of your pension by submitting Jeevan Pramaan Patra. It can also be generated from home/anywhere on laptop or mobile. Aadhaar number or VID is required to generate/obtain digital life certificate. Once the life certificate is submitted, it is automatically uploaded to the database, and the pension of the pensioner is credited without any delay.
The Government of India has strongly promoted this initiative and has launched two special campaigns in 2022 and 2023 to increase its use.
